Magnitude 5.4 quake jolts Zambo del Norte (PHL)
A magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit Zamboanga del Norte on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the earthquake occurred at 2:25 p.m. Its epicenter was located 10 kilometers southeast of Sergio Osmeña Sr. town.
Phivolcs said Intensity III was felt in Zambaonga City.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 10 kms
.
Phivolcs said aftershocks are expected from the earthquake. No damage was reported, as of posting.-ABS-CBN News (October 02, 2012 2:55PM)
