The Malaysians - 33 women and 18 men - were aboard two vessels when intercepted off Balabac town, radio dzBB's Palawan affiliate James Viernes reported Monday.
One of the vessels was carrying 22 Malaysians, 12 of them women, while the other was carrying 29 Malaysians, 21 of them women.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime Group operatives in Balabac are now preparing possible charges against the Malaysians for violating Philippine immigration laws, the report said.
The investigation showed that the 51 left Malaysia aboard the two vessels Saturday night, and entered the territory of Palawan on Sunday night.
They were promptly intercepted by the Philippine Navy and PNP maritime Group, the report said.-Black Pearl (September 24, 2012 1:22PM)
